Be transported to the “City of Love” for an enchanting evening of French opera, one of Europe’s most important operatic traditions. Students from the JMU Opera Theater are poised to launch their careers, and this concert is your opportunity to see an incredible core of future stars perform songs including “Mon coeur s’ouvre à ta voix” from Saint-Saëns’ Samson et Dalila; “Tu n’es pas beau, tu n’es pas riche” and “Ah, quel diner” (the drinking song) from Offenbach’s La Périchole; “L’amour est un oiseau rebelle” from Bizet’s Carmen; and more. Join the cast members for French pastries and coffee in the lobby following the performance!
