Sponsored by the JMU Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association, this concert features guest conductor Dr. Rollo Dilworth, professor of choral music education and chair of the music education and music therapy areas in the Boyer College of Music and Dance at Temple University, as well as student conductor Journee Smith, a JMU senior music education major with a concentration in voice.  http://jmuacda.weebly.com/choral-fest.html


HIGHLIGHTS


  • Belgium-based vocal group Vox Luminis will perform J.S. Bach's motets in a "heart-meltingly beautiful performance."



  • The Grammy and Emmy-winning Soweto Gospel Choir will sing, dance and drum to deliver a tour-de-force performance!



  • Kennedy Center Theater for Young Audiences on Tour presents Me...Jane, a musical based on the true story of chimpanzee expert Dr. Jane Goodall



  • Staunton dance devotee Pamela McCray wins 2018 Circle of Excellence Award
