Joel Schoenhals, a professor of piano at Eastern Michigan University whose playing has been described as "passionate...impetuous...radiant" by Fanfare magazine, will perform an all-Brahm program featuring the character pieces Op. 116, Op. 117, Op. 118 and Op. 119.

Over the past decade, Schoenhals has recorded seven CDs and maintained an active recital schedule. Between 2012 and 2016, Schoenhals performed the cycle of Beethoven’s 32 piano sonatas, reaching thousands of people in more than 70 engagement concerts. In Fall 2016, he launched the Bach-Brahms’ Project, a two-year, four-concert series featuring the complete Partitas of J.S. Bach and character pieces of Johannes Brahms.  www.joelschoenhals.com
