Wanchi’s albums, Eugéne Ysaÿe Six Solo Sonatas, complete Partitas, Sonatas of J.S. Bach for Solo Violin and her collaboration with longtime friend and pianist, Robert Koenig presenting music by William Walton and Benjamin Britten, all under the Centaur Records label have been excellently reviewed. Her most recent album, Imagining Worlds: Music for Solo Violin by living composers will be released under the Parma Music label in January 2024.  She is an active solo and chamber music performer, competition adjudicator and conference presenter. She joined “Curtis on Tour” for the 2017-18 season and joined the string faculty at the Heifeitz International Institute in Staunton Virginia starting summer 2023. She received her Bachelor of Music from the Curtis Institute of Music, MM from the Juilliard School and DM from the Indiana University in Bloomington. Currently, she is the full time violin professor at James Madison University and serves as concertmistress for the Waynesboro Symphony Orchestra. Full bio
