"One of America's finest ensembles."

The Cincinnati Enquirer

The Amernet is one of today’s exceptional string quartets, praised by The New York Times for its “intelligence” and “immensely satisfying” playing of new music and commissions as well as neglected works of the past. “A group of exceptional technical ability,” (The Strad, U.K.) the Amernet is “fun to watch… as the members play with such evident enjoyment.” (The Boston Musical Intelligencer) Currently the ensemble-in-residence at Florida International University in Miami, the Amernet has performed across the Americas, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

This evening features special guest Heather Coltman, JMU Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Coltman is a solo and collaborative pianist who has performed across five continents to critical acclaim. Amernet and Coltman will perform a program of Mozart’s Piano Quartet in G minor, K. 478; Korngold’s Suite from Much Ado About Nothing; Schubert’s Quartet in E-flat major, D. 87; and Schoenberg’s Quartet No. 0 (1897). http://amernetquartet.com
