Wanchi is an active solo and chamber musician, having performed at the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center with Curtis on Tour, and at numerous festivals worldwide. Her playing of Eugène Ysaÿe’s sonatas and J.S. Bach’s complete sonatas and partitas for solo violin under the Centaur Records label received high praise, citing “her incisive techniques and an exceptionally rich and beautiful tone” (Phil’s Classical Reviews, Audio Video Club of Atlanta). In May 2019, she released her fourth CD under the Centaur label, which features music by William Walton and Benjamin Britten in a collaboration with longtime friend and pianist Robert Koenig. Aiveen Gallagher is a string artist from Ireland who has performed extensively in Europe, the U.K., and the USA. She has been a featured soloist on several occasions at the International Viola Congress and the American Viola Society Congress. An advocate for the contemporary arts, Gallagher is the co-founder of Siren, an international network of musicians dedicated to the cultivation, promotion and performance of new music. She is a three-time international prizewinner in chamber music, and Gallagher’s viola and percussion ensemble Duo Schembri-Gallagher was awarded 2nd prize in the chamber music category of the 2022 American Prize for Excellence in the Arts. Gallagher has worked with many professional orchestras in the U.K., Malta, Italy, Belgium and Russia. She has delivered workshops at third-level institutions such as NYU Steinhardt School of Music and served as a string adjudicator for the European String Teachers Association and the Illinois Grade School Association.
