Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and Velma Kelly, another Merry Murderess, vie for the spotlight and headlines—ultimately uniting in search of the American dream: fame, fortune and acquittal. Chicago made its Broadway premiere in 1975 and features a sassy score and Fosse-inspired jazz dance style. It was revived on Broadway in 1996 and won six Tonys, including Best Revival of a Musical.
