57th International Horn Symposium

The opening evening concert of IHS 57 will feature Hae-Ree Yoo and Aliyah Danille. 

Korean hornist Hae-Ree Yoo is the principal horn of the WDR Sinfonieorchester in Cologne, Germany and teaches at the Aachen University of Music. Her studies included the Hanns Eiseler School of Music in Berlin, where she performed frequently with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. She will perform notable works for horn and piano by Beethoven and Eugene Bozza, in addition to several new works by Korean composers.

Aliyah Danielle is a dynamic artist with a unique approach that can be summed up in one word: unconventional. The winding roads of Aliyah’s diverse interests and experiences converge to form the heart of her creations, which seek to tell stories through sound and blend genres to create new, interesting sonic textures. She will perform her own set list of contemporary works for horn and mixed instrumentation including string quartet, electric guitars, brass, and percussion.
