Revel in the delightful sound of glorious classical music as JMU’s Symphony Orchestra joins the esteemed 2024 School of Music Concerto Competition winners Jondra Harmon, mezzo-soprano and Dylan Royal, alto saxophone to bring you a captivating concert. Majors from each of the six areas of the School (woodwinds, brass and percussion, strings, piano, and voice) competed, and two finalists were then selected to compete in the finals in February for a coveted spot in this concert.

What if you could change a single memory—alter it, recall it, or erase it entirely? The Lethe Memory Project invites a select group of individuals to experience a groundbreaking new product that allows them to manipulate their memories in ways never before possible. Through a dynamic blend of text, movement, and music, {re}written delves into the profound impact memory has on our identity and the way our past shapes who we are. What happens when we tamper with our memories? Can altering or removing them truly change us for the better? Or will we lose something essential in the process? Prepare for a thrilling journey of discovery. Contains adult language, adult content, partial nudity, and strobe lights.  Parental discretion advised.

Acclaimed cellist Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf has established a stellar career in New York City as a solo, chamber, Broadway, and recording artist. Dorman-Phaneuf mesmerizes audiences with captivating and funny stories about her life as a Broadway musician and her exquisite arrangements for cello and piano. Since 2003, she has held chairs in 20 Broadway shows including Sunday in the Park with George, Parade, and A Little Night Music. Video
